  9. MacSNMP Update 1.1.1 is an update release for select users of AppleTalk Connection, AppleTalk Administration, TCP/IP Connection and TCP/IP Administration products.

You need this update if you have installed AppleTalk Connection or Administration version 1.1, or TCP/IP Connection or Administration version 2.0.4 installed with System 7.5, and you are using MacSNMP. The SNMP Macintosh Agent has been updated so that the gestaltTable gives correct information when running with System 7.5.

  13. You don't need this update if the version of your System is earlier than 7.5 or if you have not installed MacSNMP. Other components of the AppleTalk and TCP/IP products (AppleTalk, MacTCP, ASLM, etc.) have not changed

  16. How to install this update?
  17. ---------------------------

  19. To install this update follow the following steps:
  20.  
  21. 1) Open the Extensions folder of your System Folder
  22.  
  23. 2) Select the file "SNMP Macintosh Agent" and drag it out of the Extensions folder. You can put this file in the Trash, however you can empty the Trash only after you restart your Macintosh because this file is in use.

  25. 3) Select the new version, version 1.1.1, of the "SNMP Macintosh Agent" that comes along with this read me file.

  27. 4) Drag the new "SNMP Macintosh Agent" in the Extensions folder of your System Folder.

  29. 5) The new "SNMP Macintosh Agent" will be activated after you restart your Macintosh.
